APA is a protocol decoder that is used to analyze digital communications traffic. It displays all VHF-based data communications exchanged between ground stations and aircraft, and allows users to visualize all layers of each protocol data unit (PDU). APA is commonly used in conjunction with ALTYS’s test products in support to troubleshooting and performance assessment. APA also is an essential part of the COSMOS platform, enabling both real-time monitoring and post-capture log analysis.
Why use APA?
■ Monitor traffic of operational ground infrastructures
■ Identify datalink issues (delays, provider aborts…)
■ Facilitate datalink problem resolution
■ Track progress of avionics lab testing and integration
■ Troubleshoot and understand test failures
