该轻型自动供电设备，可以免除总是上电及下电备用系统的麻烦。该供电设备可以为Mid-Continent的一个地平仪提供电源并为一个空速表及高度计提供一小时照明。在飞行开始时激活，在主用电力消失时立即启动，在飞行中充电并且在飞行后自动关闭。紧急供电设备使用密闭的铅酸电池，可靠性高并且在寒冷天气中也能保证性能可靠。包括所有安装硬件及接头，无需昂贵的安装托盘，省钱省重量。是Honeywell Bendix/King KFD840的备用电池，也可以用作Mid-Continent电子地平仪的备用电源。
